Willingdon is a community church, international in attendance, biblical in its message, uplifting in its worship, focused in its commitment to prayer, warm-hearted in its touch, and committed in its service to all ages from all walks of life. We are a multi-generational family of believers with over 4000 adults, children, and youth who gather together to worship on weekends. We translate our services into 9 different languages, reflecting the cultural diversity of Greater Vancouver.

Willingdon Church is looking for a Worship Pastor to equip and disciple worship volunteers, direct vocal and worship team rehearsals, lead worship services, and support the Team Leader in shaping the spiritual and creative tone of gathered worship at Willingdon Church.

About the Role

Primary Areas of Focus include:

  • Lead worship regularly across services, rehearsals, and special events
  • Identify and mentor new worship leaders, vocalists, and frontline team members
  • Help shape service flow, transitions, and congregational engagement moments
  • Collaborate with the Worship Arts Pastor on vision alignment and pastoral rhythms
  • Oversee volunteer scheduling for Sunday worship vocalists and band teams
  • Contribute to creative series planning and special event preparation

The successful candidate will have:

  • Master’s degree in theological education, biblical studies or related field
  • Theologically aligned with Willingdon Church
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading a worship ministry
  • Comfortable directing rehearsals with musicians and singers
  • Ability to manage schedules, volunteers, and ministry rhythms
  • Experience working with international congregations (second language an asset)
