Assessment and evaluation are complex, highly politicized and often divisive issues within and beyond the educational sphere. This course will enable pre-service teachers to explore and critically examine assessment methods/practices and the philosophies and policies, which inform them, reconceptualizing assessment as a transformative pedagogical act.

This course is part of the University of Regina’s Faculty of Education Bachelor of Education YNTEP Program offered in Whitehorse, YT Position Requirements Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset. Preference may be given to local candidates Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours Wednesdays, 1300 – 1550
