Dynamic Nurse Resource Partner Needed!

The role of the Nurse Resource Partner will be key at breaking down barriers for patient access to life- changing medicines and supporting optimal patient care. Working in the physician’s clinic, the Nurse Resource Partner provides nursing services, along with administrative tasks and education to patients and other nurses. This role involves direct interactions with patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, physicians, and other health care professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.

Your Mission

  • Work with patients and healthcare team once the decision to treat with a biologic medication has been established to prepare the patient for treatment
  • Administrative support for anti-fibrotics as well as in clinic spirometry (training would be provided)
  • Liaise with physicians’ offices, pharmacies, services providers, and other parties to provide comprehensive and coordinated service to patients and HCPs;
  • Proactively offer support and advocacy to patients and HCP which includes but is not limited to enrollment, facilitation of coverage renewals, as well as facilitating reimbursement support to physicians and patients;
  • Provide in person and virtual support such as adherence support, both inbound and outbound as needed;
  • Perform clinical nursing tasks such as blood draws and injections;

What You Bring To The Table

  • Qualified Registered Practical Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with valid and in good standing provincial license;
  • Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience;
  • Experience in therapeutic specialty is an asset;
  • CPR and First-Aid certification required;
  • Bilingual English and French is an asset;
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and experience in Patient Support

Programs is a strong asset;

  • Strong computer skills, including being proficient in MS Office suite: Excel, Outlook

(Email), Word and EMR;

  • Excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, HCP;
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
  • Self-motivated and collaborative;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills: ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently;
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible with patient and HCP requirements; and
  • Passionate at supporting patient care and removing barriers to care.

Compensation: At BioScript, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
