Job Description
We’re looking for a Seasonal Tree Planting Project Manager to lead our planting operations with energy, integrity, and purpose. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is a key part of our Management Team and is responsible for overseeing crews, camps, logistics, and systems during our summer and potentially fall planting seasons.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic outdoor environments, builds strong teams, and leads with a people-first mindset. You’ll be responsible for creating a safe, productive, and respectful workplace where planters feel supported and motivated to return year after year.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage planting operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Supervise 3–5 Crew Leaders, each managing a 10-person planting crew
- Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and teamwork
- Oversee onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management
- Coordinate daily logistics including tree drops, deliveries, and equipment movement
- Ensure operational systems and camps run smoothly and meet company standards
- Promote best practices for sustainable forestry and high-quality yield
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within tree planting operations
- Valid NB Class 5 license (or equivalent), with willingness to obtain Class 4
- Availability to work a rotating schedule (3 days on / 1 day off)
- Experience managing camp-based crews is considered an asset
- Familiarity with operating equipment such as ATVs, skidders, muskeg, side-by-sides is an asset
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to lead teams through change and drive performance
