Reporting to the Manager, Central Planning, this position is to support the delivery of our central merchandising planning by analyzing data and generating reports using database management skills. Support includes the assistance of directing and managing the development and implementation of the enterprise planning system to connect and track all business commitments such as inventory level, fill rate, purchase order status, suppliers’ performance and ongoing shipments Collaboration with all relevant internal (IT, Merchandising, Operations) and external parties (software and hardware vendors) and following up on various projects is vital to the success of this role.

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

  • Monthly sales/inventory review to analyze abnormal sales history, review projections or forecast on sales, gross margin, and inventory is accurate
  • Design and maintain replenishment data in systems in timely manner
  • Able to manage vendors and work with shipping teams to make sure products arrival on time
  • Meet replenishment KPIs (DOH/filled rate/in-stock rate) and able to maintain purchasing records, prepares summary statistical analysis; monitor safety stock level, fulfillment rate and inventory turnover rate
  • Work with manager to maintain and generate various performance reports at all levels (category/department/ merchandise category/SKU)
  • Extract data and prepare summary statistical analyses
  • Assist in documenting and executing best practices, processes for developing, modifying, and configuring enterprise planning system services and integrations; review related documents and to ensure proper knowledge transfer within relevant teams
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for the enterprise planning system and all related systems; communicate incident status with manager to ensure resolution delivery
  • Enhance forecast accuracy by monitoring and addressing forecasting errors
  • Provide feedback on capacity risks and supply issues to merchants and planning partners where necessary
  • Closely collaborate with manager to provide data to relevant departments for the preparation of consolidations are accurate while to align supply and demand
  • Perform other duties and projects as directed
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, business analytics, mathematics, supply chain management, or other related disciplines
  • 1-2 years’ experience in supply chain field is mandatory
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced business environment, preferably in the strategy consulting, corporate strategy - retail industry, or supermarket chain store operations
  • Knowledge of ERP system is an asset, understand clearly the concept of replenishment
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, taking initiative and managing multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment
  • Analytical thinking and has ability to identify alternatives to solve problems
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making and may involve confidential or sensitive matters
  • Must have excellent time management, interpersonal, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills and be able to deal effectively with all levels within and outside the organization
  • Must have advanced level of computer skills in MS Word, Excel (formula, macros), Outlook & PowerPoint

5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am – 5:30pm
