Due to the continued rapid growth and expansion of our Construction Phase Services group, we are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Inspector with Water/Wastewater experience to be based in our Greater Toronto Area offices. This position requires diversified experience in site inspection and contract administration activities for Multi-Disciplinary projects such as Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations, and other facility projects, as well as Linear Infrastructure projects such as traditional open-cut, trenchless, sewer & water rehabilitation.

- Working safely and in conformance with GHD’s Behavior-Based Safety culture
- Completing day-to-day quality assurance inspections for Multi-Disciplinary and Linear projects
- Monitoring Contractor work for compliance with contract requirements
- Maintaining project records including diary entries and collecting as-built information
- Recording and monitoring contractor progress against the project schedule
- Making payment recommendations to Contract Administrator
- Monitoring contractor work for compliance with applicable safety and environmental legislation
- Taking action, in consultation with Contract Administrator and in accordance with contract
- requirements, when non-conformances are observed
- Identifying and proactively assisting with the resolution of emerging project challenges
- Coordinating contractor’s work activities with the client, approval authorities, and utility
- providers
- Coordinating material testing and supporting commissioning activities
- Coordinating and assisting with expediting contract administration documentation including
- shop drawings, work plans, and test reports
- Collaborating with residents and local property owners to record and resolve field-level issues
- Completing required training including but not limited to First Aid, Confined Space Entry and
- Working at Heights;
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year as necessary
- Working nights, weekends, and overtime hours as necessary
- Working on project job sites in various Cities and Municipalities across our Region
- Managing construction project field teams and mentoring of junior staff as necessary
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Multi-Disciplinary and or linear infrastructure projects.
- CET designation, C.Tech, or PEO EIT or P.Eng. designation, or equivalent training and
- experience while in the process of certification
- Valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license
- Strong teamwork ability with strong written and oral communication skills
- Sound judgment and ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience in design of facility, sewer & or water main work is an asset
- AutoCAD, MS Project, and Primavera P6 experience is an asset
- Previous training and experience in confined space entry and/or Working at Heights training is
- an asset
- Certification as a Certified Inspector of Sediment & Erosion Control (CISEC) is an asset
