Lead Hand
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Hand to support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will act as a key team leader on the production floor, responsible for coordinating daily activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting the production of both consumer and industrial products. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both team members and management.

This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both team members and management.
AM Shift: 7:00am -3:30pm (Flexibility is required)Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist a team of production workers to meet daily manufacturing goals.
- Assist in supervising day-to-day picking, receiving and loading activities to meet output and quality goals
- Monitor and address quality concerns on the production floor, ensuring compliance with company and customer standards.
- Act as a liaison between production workers and supervisors, communicating any issues or updates.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship for new and existing staff.
- Support the production of a variety of consumer and industrial products, following established procedures and specifications.
- Train and guide Warehouse staff on standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Ensure safety procedures and company policies are always followed.
- Report and document any incidents, product non-conformities, or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory counts, material handling, and staging of products when needed.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment. Forklift license is an asset.
- Assist with onboarding of new operators, production employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in manufacturing or related field is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or lead hand role.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team environment.
- Valid forklift license is a strong asset.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, inventory systems, etc.) are preferred.
