Chemetics Inc. (Worley Group) is a diversified technology company that provides design and engineering solutions to the chloralkaline, sodium chlorate, chlorine dioxide, and sulphuric acid industries worldwide. It is a Company with a 60-year history in Vancouver with diverse cultures, talents, and highly skilled professionals. Chemeticsoperates a specialized alloy fabrication shop in Pickering, ON.
We are currently recruiting for a Shipping & Receiving Administrator. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based at our fabrication facility in Pickering, ON Canada.
The Shipping & Receiving Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the S&R department. This position ensures the accuracy and efficiency of all shipping and receiving documentation, optimizes the use of technology, and serves as the primary liaison for internal and external communications related to logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure all shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and manage bills of lading, packing slips, and compliance documentation.
- System & Data Management:
- Enter and update shipping/receiving data in Epicor and Excel.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute regular reports on shipping, receiving, and inventory metrics.
- Process Improvement:
- Review current administrative processes and recommend improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
- Standardize workflows and maintain up-to-date process documentation.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Serve as the administrative point of contact for S&R, liaising with finance, purchasing, and other departments.
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and customers to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery/pickup of goods.
- Coordinate schedules for incoming and outgoing shipments to S&R.
- Inventory Support:
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and cycle counts.
- Support audits and ensure readiness for compliance reviews.
- General Administrative Support:
- Order and maintain office supplies for the S&R department.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and assist with departmental projects as needed.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Relevant years of administrative experience in a logistics, shipping/receiving, or warehouse environment.
- Experience with Epicor (or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills required.
Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
- Proactive problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment within the warehouse/logistics facility.
- Working conditions: Monday to Friday at Pickering location (office hours). Occasional extended hours to support high-volume periods or resolve urgent issues.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
