We are seeking a Senior Game Audio Designer to lead the creation, implementation, and optimization of immersive audio experiences across our projects. In this role, you will craft compelling soundscapes, mentor junior sound designers, and collaborate closely with design, art, and engineering teams to push the boundaries of interactive audio. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, creative vision, and a deep understanding of how sound enhances gameplay and storytelling.

About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Game Audio Designer to lead the creation, implementation, and optimization of immersive audio experiences across our projects. In this role, you will craft compelling soundscapes, mentor junior sound designers, and collaborate closely with design, art, and engineering teams to push the boundaries of interactive audio. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, creative vision, and a deep understanding of how sound enhances gameplay and storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Sound Design & Implementation
- Design, record, and edit high-quality sound effects, ambiences, and UI audio.
- Implement audio assets in-engine using middleware tools (e.g., Wwise, FMOD, Unreal, Unity).
- Ensure audio integrates seamlessly with gameplay mechanics and player experience.
- Creative Collaboration
- Partner with directors, game designers, composers, and engineers to define and execute the game’s audio vision.
- Contribute to creative brainstorming and help shape the sonic identity of projects.
- Provide feedback and direction on music, dialogue, and external audio contributions.
- Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide junior and mid-level audio designers through feedback, best practices, and technical support.
- Help establish audio standards, workflows, and documentation for the team.
- Represent the audio team in cross-disciplinary meetings.
- Technical Excellence
- Push innovation in spatial audio, adaptive music, and real-time sound design.
- Troubleshoot and optimize audio performance across platforms.
- Stay up to date with emerging tools, plugins, and industry trends.
- 5+ years of professional game audio design experience with at least 1 shipped title in a senior/lead role.
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard DAWs (Pro Tools, Reaper, etc.) and sound libraries.
- Strong experience with audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD) and implementation in game engines (Unreal, Unity).
- Demonstrated ability to design unique, high-quality sound assets.
- Strong understanding of mix techniques, dynamic range, and spatial audio.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and work independently when needed.
- Experience with VR/AR or next-gen spatial audio systems.
- Background in music composition, performance, or dialogue editing.
- Familiarity with scripting or coding for audio systems.
- Passion for games, storytelling, and interactive media.
