The Project Management Director ensures the strategic deployment of the project portfolio within a global organizational context. They are primarily involved in the development and market launch of new products in a manufacturing environment.


Main Responsibilities

Strategic Portfolio Deployment

Ensure effective governance of the portfolio by integrating organizational prioritization based on team capacity, budget, operational and business challenges.

Standardization of Deliverables

Ensure consistent application of best practices across all project categories, including methodology, tools, and competencies.

Standardization of Formats

Deploy a uniform format for project presentations and reports intended for the executive committee to facilitate decision-making and ensure clear and coherent visibility on project progress.

Resources for NPI Projects

Manage the PMO with the necessary human and financial resources to ensure the success of NPI (New Product Introduction) projects from ideation to delivery.

Team Management

Supervise a team of project managers. Ensure their engagement, professional development, and achievement of objectives. Plan resources and guarantee delivery capacity within expected timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Performance Monitoring

Conduct regular portfolio performance reviews. Produce and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identify gaps, and recommend necessary adjustments.

Cross-functional Issue Management

Anticipate risks, propose pragmatic solutions, and ensure effective coordination among stakeholders. Maintain an overview of interdependencies and act with an organizational perspective.


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, administration, or a relevant related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of significant experience in project and program management in an industrial and/or product manufacturing environment
  • Strategic vision and recognized leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in APQP methodologies is an asset
  • PMP certification is an asset
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset

Work Location

Head office in Quebec City. The candidate may be located outside Quebec City, but occasional presence at the office is required (to be discussed).
