WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an Associate to join our Regulatory Affairs team, specializing in Packaging Compliance & EPR. This position is a full-time and permanent role that will be based out of our Fraser HQ in Liberty Village and offers a hybrid work schedule. This person will be supporting new product development and new business development in the creation, review, and approval of packaging in the jurisdictions we sell in. This role will be working closely with R&D, Brands, Design, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Lead packaging creation for new product development.
  • Lead packaging creation for commercial expansion.
  • Lead packaging creation for brand enhancements.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance for all DECIEM packaging in all markets.
  • Review and manage website text for existing products (ingredient lists, directions, warnings, and marketing information).
  • Support review and implementation of enhanced website compliance (claims and other regulatory information).
  • Review internal and external marketing language (technical communications, marketing materials, and training tools).
  • Respond to customer inquiries.
  • Manage global extended producer responsibilities including the submission of reports and payment of fees. Support sustainability initiatives.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • 1+ years of experience working in a Regulatory Environment with a focus on Packaging Review
  • Relevant education in Regulatory Affairs, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacology or another relevant field OR equivalent work experience is an asset.
  • Understanding of cosmetic, NHP, and OTC packaging requirements.
  • Extremely well organized and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, in particular Microsoft Excel.
