Financial Analyst (Contract)

The Manufacturing Financial Analyst (Contract) is responsible for providing operating management with financial analysis of daily, weekly and monthly transformation cost performance. You will have the opportunity to develop your unique skills, innovate, as well as take on expanded roles to capitalize on your potential while gaining global exposure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing the daily transformation cost performance report and the supporting charts for key cost performance drivers
- Supporting the department to provide financial analysis for cost reduction initiatives identified by operations
- New model and non-new model investment project tracking, submitting projects for funding approval, and closing completed projects
- Asset management: duties include capitalizations, transfers, and disposals. Preparing Project and Daily desk journal vouchers and analysis for month-end close
- Sox support through physical inventory reviews, monthly checklists, and plant walkthroughs
- 9,5,5 project development to improve process efficiency within the department and eliminate non-value-added work
What you will learn:
- Developing relationships with multiple aspects of the organization to achieve the financial goals of the Plant
- How to drive SOX control, manage annual asset audits, perform annual physical inventories
- Daily financial reporting and Key Performance Indicator reporting that tie to plant operational targets
- Capital project process and monthly actual reporting through the close process

Requirements:Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree
- A general understanding of core Finance or Accounting principles
- Ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data, interpret results, and provide meaningful reports to operations on a variety of costs
- Willingness to grow and develop a career in Manufacturing Finance
- The ability to learn how to budget, forecast, and report actuals through the monthly close process
- Proficient in Google and Microsoft Suites
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent
- Minimum ONE (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Programming experience in Qlik Sense and other data analytics
