This course focuses on in-depth news reporting, feature writing, and photojournalism. Students will also write opinion pieces and pursue topics of interest while monitoring media coverage of current affairs
Position Requirements
Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor of Journalism degree or equivalent in a related discipline. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated effectiveness in journalism instruction, recent and relevant professional experience, and those with practical experience and knowledge in broadcast, print, and multimedia news production
The School of Journalism defines “recent and relevant professional experience” as working experience in the field of journalism within last four years, and a minimum of three years of professional experience in the specific medium or method applicable to the course.
The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills; comprehensive knowledge of journalistic practices; and a demonstrated commitment to, and enthusiasm for, teaching Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range Per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours The instructor will deliver the course on campus face-to-face on Wednesday from 0930 – 1215.
