  • Ability to collect requirements from internal sources like Systems engineers, engineering users, product validation labs, and manufacturing.
  • Ability to refine the requirements collected into a level of detail relevant to designers and verifiers.
  • Ability to review requirements developed by other engineers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Ability to read schematics strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with requirement management tools, classic DOORS from Rational in particular, is strongly desired
  • Familiarity with Jira strongly desired

What Will Make Us REALLY Love You

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Requirements Engineering (MBRE) workflows integrating DOORS and Cameo (e.g., ReqIF or OSLC linkages).
  • Experience supporting system architecture reviews and design certification packages for defense or naval communication platforms.
  • Understanding of Link 11/16, SATCOM, or secure IP-based comms architectures used in maritime or defense systems.
  • Exposure to interface definition and ICD management across multi-contractor or multi-segment programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply configuration management and version control practices to models, requirements, and verification artifacts.
  • Experience integrating requirements traceability with verification management tools (e.g., TestRail, Jama, or custom verification matrices).
  • Knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and availability (RMA) or safety-critical design considerations in mission systems.
  • Familiarity with SysML-to-simulation workflows (e.g., Cameo Simulation Toolkit or MATLAB integration) for system behavior validation
