Purolator TechnologyPurolator is Canada’s leading integrated freight, package, and logistics provider, delivering reliable solutions for over 60 years. Our Shipper Technology team is seeking a Cloud Software Developer to join our team on a contract basis.

Please Note: This is a 12+ month contract position covering a parental leave.

The Role

Responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you will be involved in all aspects of a project's lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, deployment, and incident support. You will work closely with our customers, both within Purolator and beyond. You will work to understand their needs and actively contribute towards technical solutions. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering code across a range of languages, with a focus on quality
  • Working with our dedicated Testing team to resolve bugs and improve the overall solution
  • Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ship frequently
  • Providing input on architectural & design decisions
  • Self-managing your workload in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentRolling out solutions to the market, including writing good documentation and putting out technical fires.

With a broad full-stack scope, you will have the opportunity to work with technologies such as: Python, Java, React, along with standard HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Terraform and GitHub Actions, Cloud data stores, including Postgres, Redis, and Document Databases from AWS.

This role is hybrid and will supplement a team located across Southwest Ontario. Desk space is available in Kitchener, Ontario and Mississauga, Ontario.
