The Technical Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging business needs with technology solutions. This role involves analyzing, designing, and implementing technical systems and processes that support organizational goals. The analyst collaborates closely with business stakeholders, developers, and IT teams to ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business requirements. A strong understanding of databases, business analysis, and project coordination is essential.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications.
- Ensure business specifications and requirements documentation are accurately prepared and sufficiently detailed to support sizing, development efforts, and serve as input to various project deliverables.
- Develop and deliver Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Design Documents, Use Cases, and Process Models as required.
- Liaise between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that effectively meet user needs.
- Support production issues and manage escalations during release cycles as needed.
- Design and document system workflows, data models, and integration points to support solution development and implementation.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure technical solutions are aligned with business requirements and scalable for future needs.
- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL and other database tools to ensure data integrity and support decision-making.
- Assist in project planning, coordination, and execution across cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Participate in testing activities, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking to ensure quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented systems, ensuring stability and continuous improvement.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 7+ years of experience in banking domain
- Experience working across multiple teams and functions to ensure alignment.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver working results.
- Proven experience in business and technical analysis within enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with system integration, data mapping, and process modeling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence delivery tracking and documentation software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Experience with data flow, sequence diagramming, other software diagramming models is an asset.
Nice to have skills:
- Familiarity with API design and integration.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance (e.g., PII, GDPR).
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks.
