We’re on the hunt for a RF Test Facility Lead on our Satellite System team at our David Florida Lab facilities based in Kanata (Ottawa) Ontario.

The compensation range for this position is $71,200.00 - $97,900.00 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the RF and EMC test facility, including equipment maintenance, calibration, process development, test preparation and execution, and safety protocols
- Conduct RF testing, including antenna radiation pattern, frequency response, gain, and noise figure measurements
- Use specialized equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers
- Conduct EMC testing, including radiated and conducted emissions, and immunity testing
- Liaise between relevant test stakeholders to ensure that the units under test, relevant test systems and equipment, and test instrumentation are efficiently integrated for test execution
- Ensure tests are conducted safely for personnel, test equipment and test articles, including ensuring checklists and defined processes are followed and completed.
- Execute tests and/or provide guidance to RF analysts/test engineer for proper test execution
- Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues or inefficiencies during testing
- Analyze and interpret test data to optimize system performance
- Ensure the RF/EMC chambers and related test equipment are operating and maintained properly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of test procedures, results, and facility operations
- Document and report lessons learned
- Recommend and implement process improvements and test capability improvements in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Support and initiate issue identification and resolution using established processes and systems
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in RF, antenna and/or EMC testing with strong understanding of RF principles, including transmission lines, antennas, and wave propagation
- Experience with EMC testing and compliance, including regulatory requirements and standards
- Experience with laboratory equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
