Overview

L3Harris MAS is looking to hire a Project Lead as a key member of the Program Management team, with the mandate to deliver In-Service Support projects in a dynamic environment conducive to continuous learning and professional growth.

Our current portfolio of programs includes a wide spectrum of In-Service-Support activities in support of Department of National Defence fleets and commercial customers.

The Program Management team works collaboratively with the customer, ensures cross-functional alignment, drives project execution, and contributes to achieving program objectives within the contractual framework, while ensuring operational excellence.

Essential Functions

  1. Lead project teams, prepare and manage deliverables in keeping with internal directives, procedures and applicable regulations.
  2. In collaboration with the Project Financial Analyst and Program team members, plan and execute projects.
  3. Apply the five main processes of project management:
    1. Initiate the project, including obtaining the necessary documentation from the client and holding the kick-off meeting;
    2. Plan the project, including the development and submission of a proposed project plan;
    3. Execute the project, including monitoring progress and communicating results to stakeholders;
    4. Manage the project risks and changes, including the clarification steps with the client and the change proposal preparation;
    5. Close the project, including post mortem preparations and lessons learned documentation;
  4. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to inform project progress and ensure the project team operates efficiently within the organization; manage customer communications regarding status, scope changes, costs, and schedule; represent L3Harris MAS during integrated team reviews with the customer; promote continuous improvement initiatives and PM best practices.

Qualifications

Success in this role requires strong project and change management skills, and a solid understanding of the aerospace industry and/or aircraft maintenance operations. You will need to demonstrate the ability to integrate technical, operational, and contractual considerations into project execution, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with internal directives, procedures, and applicable regulations.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry and/or aircraft maintenance environments is strongly preferred and will be a key factor for success in this role.
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field required;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management or project coordination (any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered);
  • Experience in Change Management is an asset;
  • Experience in the Canadian Defence Industry and in a performance-based contract environment are considered assets;
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English;
  • Pro-active, enthusiastic, initiative and strong leadership, planning, organizational, analytical, and decision making skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and balance priorities;
  • Ability to communicate project-related details clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to deal directly with internal and external customers;
  • Autonomous, reliable, and good judgment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet ITAR requirements.
