Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration and transformation, with hands-on experience in cloud technologies, data governance, and DevOps practices. This role requires proficiency in Java or Python, API development, and SQL, along with a solid understanding of AWS services and CI/CD tools.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration and transformation, with hands-on experience in cloud technologies, data governance, and DevOps practices. This role requires proficiency in Java or Python, API development, and SQL, along with a solid understanding of AWS services and CI/CD tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data integration and transformation jobs using Java or Python.
- Build and maintain APIs for data access and processing.
- Work with SQL to manage and query large datasets efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data governance capabilities and integrations.
- Utilize AWS services including IAM, EKS, and Kubernetes for cloud-based data solutions.
- Deploy applications in a DevOps environment using CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy, and DataDog.
- Communicate effectively across teams and contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.
- Perform complex tasks independently and proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Programming & Data Tools:
- Java or Python

- Cloud & DevOps:
- AWS (IAM, EKS, Kubernetes)
- GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy
- DataDog
- Data Governance & Integration:
- Experience implementing governance frameworks and integration strategies
- Bonus Skills (Preferred but not mandatory):
- Apache NiFi
- SnapLogic
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives across team boundaries.
