Job Type: Full Time Hybrid (Ottawa - 55 Murray Street Office)

Total Compensation: CAD $140,000 - $160,000 base salary - Placement within range based on experience and qualifications

The Role

As a Senior Product Manager at ANVIL, you will work with our Director of Intelligence to formulate our product strategy, translating deep user understanding into capability that transforms the effectiveness of operators in the field.

You will solve complex problems at the intersection of data fusion, workflow automation, and mission-critical analytics. Your primary objective is to equip operators with tools that accelerate the entire intelligence cycle, from tasking through to dissemination.

You will spend significant time with our users, embedding with military units in collaboration with our services team, to understand their reality. You will translate their operational challenges - like managing overwhelming data volumes, streamlining workflows, and integrating siloed systems - into a clear roadmap that your engineering counterparts can execute with precision.

As a senior leader in our product team, you will guide the organization as it scales, advising on proportionate tools and processes to support product excellence and rigour across our operations.

Skills, Experience, And Requirements

A candidate who meets the following requirements is likely to succeed as a Senior Product Manager at ANVIL.

Security clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Canadian Government Security Clearance to the Top Secret level.

Product experience: 7+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software environments, with a proven track record of introducing product rigour and managing change in high-growth organizations.

Product familiarity: Demonstrated experience with technically complex products involving data processing, data fusion, analytics, or mission-critical presentation layers - ideally in defense, public safety, intelligence, or adjacent sectors.

User insights: Strong track record of collecting and interpreting user insights through observation, interviews, and qualitative research methods, in addition to product analytics. Proven ability to translate this understanding into products that deliver superior value and win markets.

Technical expertise: Strong technical depth sufficient to understand data architectures, analytical pipelines, and complex system integrations and to engage confidently with our engineering team on technical decisions and feasibility. Experience managing products deployed in regulated, security-sensitive, or constrained environments (air-gapped, classified, or mission-critical systems), ideally in defense, public safety, intelligence, or national security technology sectors, is preferred.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to crisply define requirements, take written positions on important issues, and create leverageable collateral (FAQs, white papers, presentations).

Leadership: Appreciation of a senior role in an organization and willingness to model excellence, coach colleagues, and support their growth.
