Manager, Corporate FP&A - Job Description

Our ideal candidate for the Manager, Corporate FP&A position will be reporting to the Director, Corporate FP&A. This position is responsible for supporting the current and forward-looking performance management of the enterprise’s various retail and ancillary businesses, providing performance analysis around the continuous evaluation of short and long-term financial objectives and the identification of opportunities for improvement. You will join a dedicated and motivated team with exposure to all aspects of the Loblaw business, including our grocery and drug retail divisions, banking, apparel, all store support functions and the strategic portfolio. The role is designed for a colleague with a strong foundation in business acumen and who can manage various enterprise planning processes.
Key Responsibilities /Job Duties:
A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate and/or retail will be considered an asset

Key Responsibilities /Job Duties:
- Support the Enterprise P&L in-year forecasting and annual budgeting process.
- Help prepare financial presentations and reporting packages for Senior Management.
- Coordinate forecast submissions, assist in preparing materials, and support the analysis of key business insights.
- Assist with quarter-end deliverables including analyses to support MD&A and other external messaging.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships across our corporate and divisional finance teams to help plan for and measure strategic initiatives.
- Assist with various ad-hoc and cross-functional enterprise projects and initiatives as required.
A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate and/or retail will be considered an asset
The preferred candidate will also have:
- Minimum of 3 - 4 years' finance or accounting experience, preferably in the Retail industry
- Professional Finance Designations such as CPA or MBA preferred
- Excellent analytical thinking and acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills – ability to work with people within the organization.
- Ability to manage numerous priorities simultaneously amidst tight deadlines.
- Advanced Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong business acumen, with an ability to focus on continuous improvement
- Results Oriented, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Other duties as required
