About The Role

The Fleet Safety and Compliance Coordinator provides technical support and tactical execution throughout the organization’s logistics department. They will develop and implement programs to address fleet maintenance and safety, driver safety, customer safety, and to ensure the company’s financial protection from damages and risk related exposures.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure accurate record keeping of safety, maintenance and driver records.
  • Responsible for scheduling safety and pm services for the logistics department.
  • Conduct regular yard checks to inspect and ensure equipment compliance.
  • Develop regular safety training materials (bulletins, new training materials, sign offs, etc.) and distributes to all locations.
  • Take minutes and contributes to the fleet safety committee.
  • Investigate basic level claims, including general liability; collects all evidence for claims files, works directly with Third Party Claims Administration services to ensure that information is passed on to all appropriate parties in a prompt manner.
  • Administer incident reporting, investigation and resolution – for both property/liability claims and health & safety related incidents.
  • Schedule service calls for the fuel department and fleet related vendors.
  • Act as first point of response to any claim or accident; coordinates responses with senior management or third parties
  • Provide backup to the Fleet Safety and Compliance coordinator at Madill location.
  • Administer the fleet repair and maintenance purchase order database.
  • Pickup, organize and sort incoming fleet related invoices by department and send them out to the appropriate managers for final approval.
  • Administer the fuel department software. This will include adding and removing drivers and/or equipment and generating monthly fuel reconciliation reports.
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding safety and maintenance costs and initiatives.
  • Develop regular reporting metrics; prepares reports for senior management on maintenance costs, fuel expenditures and monthly safety statistics. Advise senior management on the status of claims, loss experience and accident trends.
  • Administer and analyze GPS and ELog Data.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum two years of experience in a fleet management or fleet safety and compliance role required;
  • Ability to successfully communicate and influence senior level executives and business unit leaders.
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to manage complex projects based on strategic priorities of the business and the organization.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to present information to top management.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality in matters regarding security or personnel issues.
  • Data Analysis skills.
