Corporate Marketing Director - Vancouver
The Opportunity
Our client are looking for a strategic, results-driven Corporate Marketing Director to lead their global corporate marketing function and be part of the leadership team to drive a comprehensive rebranding and digital communication strategy.
Based in Vancouver, you will be responsible for reshaping how the organization is perceived, modernizing their brand narrative and elevating their digital presence across all platforms.
This is a high-impact leadership role that sits at the intersection of brand strategy, investor communication, digital transformation, and corporate storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Corporate Rebranding & Positioning
- Under the direction of the CMO and CFO, execute a full-scale corporate rebranding exercise, including brand architecture, messaging framework, visual identity, and tone of voice that reflects our evolution from a manufacturing company to a diversified innovation group.
- Develop a compelling corporate narrative that resonates with investors, analysts, media, customers, and employees.
- Conduct market research, stakeholder interviews, and competitive analysis to inform brand positioning and differentiation.
2. Global Digital Communication Strategy
- Design and implement a group-wide digital communication strategy to unify and modernize their online presence.
- Overhaul and maintain the corporate website, ensuring it serves as a dynamic hub for investor relations, thought leadership, ESG reporting, and business unit visibility.
- Establish a centralized content strategy with clear governance, workflows, and editorial calendars for all digital channels (web, social media, email, intranet).
- Audit and revitalize digital content across all business units, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and engagement.
3. Corporate Marketing & Communications
- Contribute to all aspects of corporate marketing, including annual reports, press releases, media relations, executive thought leadership, presentations, and corporate profiles.
- Partner with Investor Relations to enhance investor-facing communications, ensuring clarity on their diversified business model and growth strategy.
- Serve as the primary contact point for corporate brand matters and act as a brand guardian across the organization.
4. Team Leadership & Change Management
- Build and lead a small, agile corporate marketing team.
- Act as a change agent, educating and aligning regional and business unit marketing teams on brand standards and digital best practices.
- Implement training programs, brand toolkits, and digital governance policies to ensure consistency and compliance.
This position reports directly into the CEO based in Hong Kong. You will therefore need to be prepared to adapt to Hong Kong time and work outside of normal daytime hours when required.
Profile
Corporate Marketing Director - Vancouver
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in corporate marketing, brand strategy, or integrated communications, preferably within industrial, technology, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven success in leading corporate rebranding initiatives and transforming legacy brand perceptions.
- Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing strategy, including website management, SEO, content marketing, and social media (especially LinkedIn and B2B platforms).
- Strong experience with investor communications and working in a publicly listed environment.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and storytelling skills with the ability to distil complex technical and strategic concepts into compelling narratives.
- Experience managing cross-functional, global teams and influencing stakeholders across cultures and time zones.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot), analytics (Google Analytics, Meltwater), and collaboration software (e.g., Asana, Slack).
This position reports directly into the CEO based in Hong Kong. You will therefore need to be prepared to adapt to Hong Kong time and work outside of normal daytime hours when required.
Job Offer
- A basic salary of up to $170,000 (dependent upon experience)
