Information On The Division

Cambridge: This newly built facility (108,000 sq. ft.) is Héroux-Devtek’s center of excellence for machining of B-777 large size landing gear components.

Summary

To develop and maintain CNC programs/documentation using Catia to produce product per Engineering drawings, ODS sheets and specifications.

Salary Range: $75k-$90k per year

Main Responsibilities

• Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering on methods of manufacturing and fixturing to investigate tooling requirements and instigate initial purchase of tooling
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems and instigate corrective actions and follow up
• Perform blue print reading
• Prepare solid model or geometry for tool paths
• Select cutting tools
• Plan machining processes
• Program tool paths
• Prepare Program Package (tool lists, setup sheets, and measuring tool lists)
• Verify tool paths on Vericut software
• Issue program packages.
• Tape proving on machine
• Program conversions (to different machining center)
• Program change requests.
• Revision updates and changes
• Rework schemes
• Check returned program packages and filing away
• Troubleshooting manufacturing processes
• New tool testing
• Any other duties as assigned

• 3+ years Complete CNC programming experience from drawings.
• Understanding of AS9100 and its impact on the position requirement
• Task Oriented with impeccable technical accuracy
