Job Summary
Reporting to the National Director of Infusion Pharmacy, the Director, Pharmacy Operations is responsible for overseeing non-clinical programs within the department, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and compliance with contractual agreements. This role includes monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), developing proactive strategies to address workload fluctuations, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize resource allocation. The Director, Pharmacy Operations will ensure adherence to protocols and policies, maintain confidentiality, conduct audits, support recruitment, and leverage clinical expertise to assist with medical supply selection. Additionally, the position involves training program supervisors, participating in incident reporting, and engaging in health and safety initiatives while completing other assigned tasks.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the comprehensive operations of all non-clinical programs within the department, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with both internal and external targets.
- Develop proactive strategies to address fluctuations in workload and ensure the achievement of performance targets.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to effectively coordinate schedules and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure strict adherence to program-specific protocols, supporting documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate clear expectations and provide timely updates regarding program operational progress to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and corporate information at all times.
- Monitor program reporting progress to ensure consistency and accuracy in deliverables, engaging with stakeholders as necessary.
- Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews to meet KPIs and client expectations, validating data accuracy as required.
- Support recruitment and orientation processes to fulfill overall business requirements.
- Leverage clinical expertise to assist in the selection of medical supplies and identify appropriate substitutions as needed.
- Provide support to nursing staff in addressing clinical inquiries via phone.
- Train and mentor program supervisors in business processes and efficiency optimization.
- Exhibit strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Participate in incident reporting through the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Engage in proactive health and safety initiatives in the execution of all duties.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years in progressively responsible roles, including recent managerial experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to lead and direct teams and programs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
- Experience in improving efficiency within large, complex programs.
- Capable of evaluating and enhancing large-scale programs.
- Strong time management skills and ability to assess urgent situations for effective decision-making.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
