Job Description

Senior Quality Assurance Engineers are responsible for desktop application testing; planning and executing test cases and running test code and scripts. They collaborate with fellow development team engineers on projects that impact multiple applications and business solutions. They are excellent communicators with a strong understanding of the SDLC and associated methodologies. You will excel as a Sage QA Engineer if you are self-motivated and enjoy creating new ways to accomplish project goals and meet deadlines.

Sage is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Sage 50 product delivery team in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accounting product with integrated payroll to market with high quality through rigid planning and testing of accounting and payroll functions
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and train others in product area, QA tools, and general QA functions
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the SDLC and associated methodologies
  • Execute tests based on test plans and/or checklists
  • Conduct quality assurance activities on policies, procedures, standards and features assigned
  • Complete ambiguous tasks with minimal guidance and support
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with team members and management on product issues
  • Proactively communicate to team any risks, design and quality issues, or increases in scope/time required
  • Accurately report progress on goals
  • Support team members and decisions
  • Understand, acknowledge, and support change within the organization and processes
  • Proactively seek to improve working environment
  • Create extraordinary customer experiences and exhibit Sage values
  • Support Quality Culture
  • Protect company proprietary and confidential information
