Location – Vancouver, BC

This position is a co-op position for 8 months starting January 2026 and is based out of our office in Vancouver, Burnaby, or Victoria, BC.

Your Role Within The Team

  • Prepare design calculations and design reports for concrete/steel/timber design.
  • Establish a structural analysis model using applicable software.
  • Prepare technical and other project specifications.
  • Quantity estimations.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Coordinate the work of structural designers and draftspersons.
  • Keep track of project documents and construction progress.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Pursuing a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related degree.
  • Experience in using structural analysis computer software (SAP2000/STAAD) is an asset.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, Concrete Design Handbook, Steel Design Handbook, and other applicable design codes is an asset.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written English communication skills.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $24 - $28 hourly). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also considered in our offers.
