This Position reports to: Production Supervisor

Based in Quebec City and reporting to the Production Supervisor, the production assembler supports the business unit in achieving the production objectives by adhering to the systems and processes. The business unit manufactures chemical analysers that target different markets.

The production assembler will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform the optical, mechanical and electronic assembly of our analysers.
  • Perform quality control of these analysers.
  • Carry out final testing to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Respect the processes in place.
  • Resolve issues encountered during assembly and testing.
  • Be in accordance with ABB's core safety and integrity values, i.e., take responsibility for your own actions while looking after colleagues and the company.

The production assembler must have the required skills below:

  • Experience in electronic, mechanical or optical assembly (an asset).
  • Strong learning ability and sharp analytical sense.
  • Autonomy, responsibility and versatility.
  • Commitment to high quality and efficiency.
  • Be meticulous and careful with manual tasks.
  • Good analytical sense.
  • Enjoy solving problems.
  • A professional diploma in one of the following fields: Electromechanics of automated systems, Fixed-machine mechanics, Welding-assembly and fabrication of structures and metals, Welding-assembly (Asset).
  • College degree in physics, electronics or a related field (Asset).
