UI Artist

Classification: Full Time

Location: Québec/Remote

Yellow Brick Games is hiring a UI Artist to join our team of experienced developers working on an exciting new IP. In this role, you will work closely with our Visual Design Director and Technical UI Designer to design, animate, and polish UI assets in Unreal Engine while aligning with the game’s visual identity. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for visual design, solid UX fundamentals, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create wireframes, experience flows, motion, and interactive prototypes that help validate in-game intentions.
• Create, iterate on, and ensure the delivery of high-quality UI assets such as menu layouts, HUD elements, and iconography that adhere to the visual identity of the game.
• Bring life to static UI elements through transitions, visual feedback, and animation in the engine.
• Proactively sync with teammates across disciplines ensuring UI intentions and deliveries align with creative and gameplay needs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in game development
• Ability to deliver high-quality, functional UI following an established art direction
• Strong visual design fundamentals in layouts, typography, iconography and motion
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and animation tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, After Effects)
• Experience working on the Unreal Editor, and familiarity with iterating on visuals and animations in-engine.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-sufficient and resourceful; able to identify and work with technical constraints
