Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathers and organizes data to support departmental/divisional and/or organizational management systems, operations, and objectives.
- Executes reporting to support daily/weekly/monthly management system requirements (cyclical) and ad-hoc requests.
- Supports the development of annual Sustainability reports.
- Liaises with stakeholders, such as the Facilities and Health & Safety teams to collect required data for reporting and provides data to stakeholders as requested.
- Acts as a key departmental resource for the implementation and operation of systems, tools and processes, including the management of key processes within Intelex.
- Works with internal (i.e. information technology) and/or external vendors, supports system enhancements, testing and troubleshooting.
- Coordinates small-scale system updates for human resources systems.
- Consolidates test cases and participates in internal and external audits of system data and HR processes.
- Responds to both internal and external stakeholder and customer questions and requests.
- Resolves customer issues and escalates as appropriate.
- Guides (and redirects) employees and business leaders on questions related to reporting requests, sustainability data, legislative requirements, or general department related inquires.
- Reviews internal processes, procedures, and reports and provides recommendations for improvement and automation in sustainability reporting and best practices.
- Actively supports the Sustainability team in delivering quality solutions to meet and exceed business goals; continually strives to improve existing practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors/ undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline.
- Zero (0) to three (3) years of progressive work experience with a focus in environment/ sustainability initiatives, or human resources preferred.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Intelex is an asset.
- Experience compiling, presenting, organizing and summarizing data.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and reporting
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and numeracy skills.
- Customer focused mindset with ability to handle different customer situations and interactions.
- Builds strong relationships and works collaboratively with internal employees and business units.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Invests in continual learning and self-improvement.
- Demonstrates a positive learning attitude and takes initiative to improve processes.
