TEC Canada delivers a powerful approach to leadership growth through four core pillars, with our Thought Leadership program being a one of the key drivers of that impact. Our Thought Leadership program partners with over one thousand subject matter experts and speakers to come into our TEC groups providing impactful insights, and practical tools to help business leaders elevate the impact they have in their organization.
As a Speaker Programs Advisor, you will play a key role in connecting the right thought leaders with our TEC groups. Working closely with our Executive coaches (Chairs), you’ll learn about the unique needs and challenges of their members and match them with expert speakers who can deliver relevant and high-value content. You’ll also collaborate with speakers directly, building a strong understanding of their expertise, exploring how their content best fits TEC groups, and identifying opportunities to extend their impact across other TEC initiatives.

As part of TEC’s Thought Leadership team, you’ll be immersed in an environment of innovation, learning, and connection—helping to shape the leadership journey of Canada’s top business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with Executive Coaches (Chairs) and Thought Leaders (Speakers) to understand the needs and assess the right fit of speaker that will engage and positively impact our TEC member groups
- Understand TEC’s business and the personas we serve– member, Chair and Thought Leader/Speaker - to drive your curiosity and make informed decisions
- Review Chair and member feedback on speaker sessions to identify gaps, emerging topic trends, and opportunities to elevate the program and enhance performance of our speakers.
- Develop a deep understanding of each thought leader’s content and unique expertise to share with our Chairs and internal departments to support strategic initiatives that enhance the thought leadership pillar.
- Oversee speaker performance by collaborating with each thought leader, providing feedback, and sharing member insights to ensure their sessions remain relevant, engaging, and impactful.
- Utilize our custom-built TEC Speaker Tool to manage Chair speaker requests, complete the annual speaker schedule and adjust as required
- Understand, support the go-to-market, and manage new Thought Leadership programs
- Collaborate with Marketing, Member Experience, and Chairs to understand what members are seeking to enhance their experience with thought leaders
- Assist in the implementation of the speaker strategic plan and multi-year roadmap
- Continuous improvement of scalable processes and systems to expand the TEC thought leadership and educational experience
- Work collaboratively with the Operations team to onboard new Chairs to our thought leadership program(s) including processes, expectations and financials.
- Liaison and manage travel expenses within a pre- approved budget
Skills & Qualifications
- Post-secondary education preferred but combination of experience and education considered. 3 years of progressive experience in a relevant field (post-secondary settings, education, learning & development)
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of adult learning principles and their application in business and executive education
- Exceptional communication skills and experience, able to build relationships with high-level stakeholders, senior leaders and C-suite level partners.
- Experience in customer support or similar role
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload
- You can adapt quickly to changing projects and the pressure of a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel
- Understanding of CRM; preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Bilingual French/English a desired asset, but not required
