Description

We are hiring a Senior Content Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team!

As a Senior Content Marketing Manager, you’ll lead content strategy and execution that supports our sales efforts in the B2G (Business-to-Government) sector. You’ll own how Spare communicates with the world, shaping our brand story, managing external communications, and crafting narratives that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth.

You’ll build an editorial strategy that showcases our mission to deliver equitable, innovative transit solutions, then turn it into programs that engage target accounts and influence pipeline. You’ll partner with product marketing, demand generation, sales, design, and customer success to keep our voice consistent and our distribution measurable across web, PR, social, and outreach channels.

Our Spare HQ is in Vancouver - BC, but this position is open to remote work options across Canada. If you like coming into an office, you can work from our HQ as desired, and we also provide a co-working stipend for those who wish to work in an office outside Vancouver.

About the role

  • Develop and execute content strategy: Create and manage a cohesive content strategy that aligns with Spare’s mission, driving awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth across target audiences.
  • Craft compelling content: Write clear, persuasive content, including thought leadership, sales collateral and social media posts, tailored to transit agencies and decision-makers.
  • Own content distribution: Manage multi-channel content distribution across LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms, ensuring consistent brand voice and maximizing audience engagement.
  • Lead project management: Oversee the content calendar, coordinate with cross-functional teams (product, growth, design, and customer success), and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Support sales enablement: Create high-converting copy tailored to transit agencies for outreach, presentations, and collateral to support sales teams.
  • Manage media relations: Amplify Spare’s brand through thought leadership, building media relationships, working with agencies, partners and publications as needed to secure positive coverage, interviews, podcast appearances and increase brand awareness.
  • Increase SEO and visibility across LLMs: own and implement content optimization best practices, optimizing content for discoverability and performance across multiple channels.
  • Own content organization and insights: Organize content to be discoverable internally across teams, measure and analyze content performance and usability metrics to refine strategies, and drive measurable business outcomes.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing or communications, either in B2B SaaS, transit, or B2G environments.
