Project Manager

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Project Manager with strong project management capabilities and demonstrated technical experience to lead two strategic initiatives over a six-month term.

Key Project Deliverables

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Implementation

Project Leadership & Governance

- Developed and maintained comprehensive project plans, schedules, and dependency trackers aligned with internal and external milestones.

- Managed RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) to ensure timely resolution and escalation.

- Delivered regular status reports covering scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resource utilization to support KPI tracking.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

- Acted as the central liaison between vendors, development partners, and internal IT, Security, and business teams.

- Oversaw vendor deliverables to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and internal standards.

- Coordinated access provisioning, environment readiness, and scheduling for integration and testing phases.

Technical Oversight & Integration

- Managed technical dependencies between authentication platforms and internal systems, including identity sources and user portals.

- Ensured documentation and validation of integration design, data flows, and environment promotion processes.

- Facilitated review and approval of technical artifacts such as configurations, runbooks, and test plans.

Testing & Quality Assurance

- Collaborated with internal testing teams to develop and execute UAT plans and schedules.

- Tracked defect remediation and verified resolution prior to production deployment.

- Ensured deployment readiness criteria were met and formally documented.

Change Management & Go-Live Readiness

- Led the creation of change and communication plans in partnership with internal stakeholders.

- Coordinated training for IT operations and support teams on new authentication workflows.

- Managed go/no-go decision processes, deployment logistics, and rollback planning.

Post-Implementation Transition

- Monitored post-deployment stabilization metrics and facilitated transition to operational support.

- Conducted lessons-learned sessions and delivered final project closure documentation with outcomes and recommendations.

ISO 27001 Certification Support

- Maintained project baselines and planning artifacts to align with certification timelines.

- Oversaw internal audit activities and coordinated with external auditors.

- Developed operational work plans with clearly defined responsibilities and resource requirements.

- Created post-certification maintenance strategies, including documentation updates and review cycles.

- Led change management planning in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

- Ensured delivery of targeted training programs for both technical staff and general employees.

- Provided ongoing reporting on scope, schedule, and budget to support performance tracking.

Qualifications:

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.

- Diploma in Computer Technology or equivalent.

Certifications

- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

- PRINCE2 or equivalent certifications considered.

- Prosci Change Management certification is an asset.

Experience & Skills

- 7–10 years of experience managing integrated IT projects in complex environments.

- Strong background in solution implementation, systems integration, and audit preparation.

- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.

- Familiarity with security initiatives including MFA and ISO/IEC 27001 standards.

- Skilled in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

- Experienced in change management, communications planning, and driving adoption of new technologies.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a focus on accountability and delivery.
