We are looking for a Parts Specialist to join our Parts team in Terrace, BC What's the challenge? What do we expect from you?

• “Service First”. It’s our company slogan and you are driven to support external and internal customers with exceptional solutions in parts sales, purchasing, and requisitioning. You’ll recognize that our customers’ livelihoods depend on the service they receive from our team.
• Certification. You have done the hard work and training required to earn certification in Red Seal Parts and Warehousing and you’re ready to apply all that you have learned to make Great West Equipment your customers’ first choice.
• Relationship Builder. You’re going to get to know your customers, their equipment, and their business. You’ll build rapport and trust and you’ll be able to provide information and solutions to keep your customers up and running.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit. You will develop a strong understanding of the department’s sales performance and understand customer’s needs. With this knowledge and experience you will develop skills for providing customer solutions, including telephone selling, both inbound and outbound
• Vigilance. Report customer satisfaction, trends and other useful information to Parts supervisor. Report any possible leads for equipment sales to the sales team. Develop rapport with customers and be the eyes and ears of the branch; take opportunities to make a difference.
• Tech savvy. You will be comfortable with learning new software and you’ll also have the ability to communicate with technicians and customers regarding parts and service.
• Diligence. We have adopted best practices when developing our systems and procedures and you’ll become a champion for consistently staying in the lines. This is a detail-oriented position and you have already developed personal systems for organizing your work, ensuring you follow up, and you are a stickler for accuracy.
• Stamina. This can be a physical job with heavy lifting and carrying. The pace can be fast, the hours can be long during busy cycles and you may also need to work occasional overtime. You will also realize that you need to recharge regularly – we insist that you take your vacation time!
