The Registered Products Administrator is responsible for various processes, procedures and transactions requested by the field for registered plans across all business lines that they serve. The focus of this position includes communications with front-office staff regarding client transactions such as answering questions related to legislation and governing rules for all types of registered plans those businesses offer. The incumbent will review transaction requests and any accompanying documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to processing.

The Registered Products Administrator is responsible for various processes, procedures and transactions requested by the field for registered plans across all business lines that they serve. The incumbent will review transaction requests and any accompanying documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Review and process transactions in RESP accounts and maintenance of notional information
- Review forms remitted to process requests ensuring calculations are accurate as to type of requests and allowable within set governmental limits
- Be responsible for monthly and annual filing for grants and other incentives from the Canada Education Savings program, the Quebec Education Savings Incentive (QESI) and government incentive programs as required
- Analyze and resolve problem items, propose best solutions and act on corrections as agreed by manager and if required, raise issues/proposed solutions to Management for further review or actions
- Review and process special withdrawals/transfers/transactions by reviewing all documentation provided by the field on such transactions prior to completion of the transactions
- Review exception/non-exception reports as assigned to ensure that transactions processed adhere to Scotia Capital and Scotiatrust procedures as well as CRA/ESDC (for RESP accounts) rules and regulations
- Sundry duties as assigned
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Business education and/or investment industry experience
- Familiarity with regulatory/compliance aspects of registered education savings plans including but not limited to rules pertaining to the Canada Education Savings Grant, Canada Learning Bond, Enhanced Canada Education Savings Grant, and Provincial Grants
- An ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects
- Must be a self-starter and independent task oriented, to work with minimum supervisor based on guidance from senior management
- Strategic and analytical attributes
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills
- An ability to keep an organized work environment with a focus on accuracy/quality
- Strong analytical skills
