Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and controlling project activities
- Prepare and organize project documentation
- Review contract specifications to ensure compliance
- Monitor budgets and ensure project costs remain within scope
- Optimize use of manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Award subcontracts and follow up on documentation requirements
- Prepare monthly progress billing draws
- Compile manuals and warranty documentation at project close-out
- Support estimating and project management tasks as required
- Provide assistance to the Construction Manager and Project Managers
- Travel to project sites as needed (own transportation preferred but not required)
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying conditions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Certified Engineering Technologist, Architectural Technician, or graduate of a construction-related program (Ontario, accredited college/university)
- 1-3 years of hands-on construction experience (school placements acceptable)
- Ability to read, interpret, and fully understand drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with Microsoft Project (Gantt Charts, WBS, Resource Management)
- Ability to process and mark up documents in Adobe
- Health & Safety (JHSC) training provided; prior experience is an asset
- Valid driver's licence in good standing
- Willingness to live and work in the Parry Sound area
- Strong desire to learn and grow within a hands-on, general contracting environment
