As a Senior/Intermediate Accountant, you will take ownership of your work while contributing to the success of the team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and corporate tax returns from source documents
- Preparing personal tax returns
- Preparing and reviewing T4s, T5s, and other tax forms
- Conducting review and audit engagements (minimal audits annually)
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through professional service and proactive communication
- 2-3 years of public accounting experience, ideally in small to mid-sized firms
- Confidence in preparing audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Hands-on experience with financial statements and corporate income tax returns
- Familiarity with software such as CaseWare, Taxprep, CCH iFirm, and Microsoft Office
- Experience preparing personal tax returns
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (overtime may be expected during personal tax season)
- 8-hour workday with flexibility and hybrid possibilities following probation
- In-person work location in Calgary, Alberta
