In accordance with article 6.2.2 of the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, applications are invited for the following course, to be offered during the following session:

Winter 2026

Lecture course:

PHY 462 Quantum Mechanics II (3 credits)

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Theory of angular momentum, matrix mechanics and applications of quantum mechanics to various branches of physics. Perturbation theory, scattering, molecular applications, and Hartree-Fock theory.

All courses will be allotted in accordance with the Contract Faculty Collective Agreement, including the applicable rules for seniority.

Contract faculty members who have seniority points may simply submit a letter of interest via e-mail. Other candidates should submit full applications by e-mail (covering letter, curriculum vitae, and any other materials required to demonstrate that they have the necessary expertise to teach the course) to Dr. John Ruan at [email protected] by Tuesday November 4th, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.

Remuneration is $9,560.92 for each 3-credit lecture course or $4,780.46 for each laboratory course, with travel and marking expenses provided where appropriate.
