Accountabilities
In this dynamic role, you'll develop and implement patent searches, analyze the results, and present your findings to our Global IP attorneys. Applying different databases and search tools, you'll ensure comprehensive searches are conducted. Your analytical skills will be key in reviewing search outcomes and summarizing insights for our IP team. You’ll also collaborate with suppliers to optimize and tailor search and analysis tools, ensuring AstraZeneca has access to the most effective solutions.

Essential Skills/Experience
- Scientific degree in Biology or Biochemistry
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property and/or patent search experience
- Ability to perform database searches using different strategies and techniques, including biosequence searches.
- Skilled at crafting efficient search strategies using professional search tools such as STNext, Derwent Innovation, Orbit Intelligence, etc
- Technical understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including both small and large molecule therapeutics, manufacturing and process development, and drug delivery
- Significant practical experience searching and reading scientific information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in a team
- An analytical approach, excellent attention to detail, skilled in time management, and goal oriented
- QPIP certification
