Installation Technician – Hillman Audio Video Inc.

Are you the type of person who loves to figure out how things work? Do you take pride in a clean cable run, crisp display, and the satisfaction of seeing technology come to life?

If so, you might just be the next great addition to the Hillman AV team.

Who We AreHillman Audio Video Inc. is a locally owned and operated Saskatchewan company that designs and installs technology systems to help people communicate, collaborate, and stay connected. From classrooms to control rooms, and from offices to healthcare facilities, our work makes spaces more intelligent, interactive, and safe.

Our team is known for being down-to-earth but detail-obsessed — proudly bringing Prairie CHARM to every project. We’re growing fast and expanding our capabilities, and we’re looking for team members who want to grow with us.

About the Role:

As an Installation Technician, you’ll be part of a team that brings technology systems to life. You’ll help install and support integrated solutions that improve how people share information — including audio, video, and control systems that make everyday communication seamless.

You’ll work alongside seasoned technicians and project leads who are passionate about what they do — and who will help you learn the trade the right way. We work in corporate, education, healthcare, industrial, and construction environments, so every day looks a little different.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with the installation of communication and control systems
  • Pull cable, mount displays, speakers, and other devices, and complete terminations
  • Follow drawings and directions to ensure installations meet quality and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot and test systems with support from senior technicians
  • Travel within Saskatchewan (and occasionally beyond) to job sites by car or plane
  • Represent Hillman AV with professionalism, reliability, and pride

What We’re Looking For:

  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn — experience is an asset, but not required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools and working at heights
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required)
  • Ability to travel and occasionally stay overnight, sometimes for up to two weeks.
  • CTS certification, safety training (Fall Arrest, WHMIS, Lift Training) are assets

What We Offer:

  • On-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals
  • Opportunities to grow into Senior Technician or Project Lead roles
  • A team culture built on Prairie C.H.A.R.M.:
  • • Client Centred – we focus on what’s best for our clients
  • Humble & Hungry – we’re driven to learn and improve
  • Approachable Excellence – we aim high and stay down-to-earth
  • Respectful Collaboration – we win as a team
  • Maintain Integrity – we do what’s right, even when no one’s watching

At Hillman AV, we believe that passion and potential matter just as much as experience. If you love technology and want a career that challenges and rewards you, we’d love to meet you.
