Job Summary:

Under general supervision, enters, monitors and tracks customer purchase orders, processes debit/credit memos, maintains order information filing system, and provides knowledgeable support for assigned products.  Work is focused on responding to inbound customer calls related to processing sales orders and resolving routine order/delivery issues. This is a 6month contract.

 

Responsibilities: 

  1. The Customer Service Specialist will deal with incoming calls from customers and will handle all aspects of an assigned sales territory and/or accounts.
  1. Acting as liaison between customers, production and distribution departments related to specific customer 
  1. Enter orders in our information/processing system 
  2. Aware of the status of account sales orders, product lead times, delivery schedules, equipment returns and replacements.          
  3. Communicate clearly with customers through a variety of means (via telephone, email, fax and the internet); including inquiries and complaints about products and services. Required to follow-up and/or take ownership for the customer’s account until a question is answered or an issue is resolved.            
  4. Resolves routine and more complex problems and communicates solution or requested information to the customer. 
  5. Analyzes customer service needs and refers to other service or technical departments for follow-up as needed.
  6. May utilize a customer relationship application or database to record activities and research product information.
  7. Uses a computerized system to gather information.
  8. Work is generally routine or typically follows standard procedures.
  9. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills              
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to function with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization - both internally and externally.
  • Strong teamwork skills. Must be a team player.
  • Ability to deal with frequent changes, delay or unexpected events.
  • Familiar with MS Office applications; ability to operate all related equipment for the role.
  • Experience with QAD is a plus; not required.  

 

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Working Conditions:

In office 5 days a week - 38 hours work week.

Monday - Thursday: 7:30AM - 4:45PM;

Friday - 7:30AM - 12:30PM.

Salary range: $48K / yr - $52K / yr. Benefits are not available for this role.
