Job Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role within the finance team, focusing on financial analysis and reporting while supporting business initiatives and building relationships with operational teams and partner dentists. This role is responsible for providing financial insights, supporting financial strategies, and contributing to the overall performance of business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Support:
- Support the implementation of financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives for assigned regions/clinics.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to assist in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Offer timely financial insights and recommendations to aid in business decisions.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Lead the analysis and reporting of financial performance for respective regions/clinics.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for the operations team and FP&A team.
- Analyze financial performance to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Act as a key contact for operations and partners, addressing inquiries and providing financial support.
- Provide financial guidance to Regional Managers, Directors, and partners.
- Work with operations to understand their needs and develop financial solutions.
- Assist in driving initiatives to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Support quarterly meetings to review financial results and discuss KPls.
- Help analyze financial data and support the implementation of improvement strategies.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of operational dashboards and KPls.
- Assist with general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, and bank reconciliations.
- Aid in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Help address and resolve accounting discrepancies and compliance issues.
- Support inventory management and regular count processes.
- Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
- Assist in monitoring financial performance against plans and suggest corrective actions.
- Identify and support cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Help monitor and report on operational and capital expenditures.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support team development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance function.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 7+ years of related experience, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience in multi site locations, and managing remote employees
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information, analyze large data sets and present in a clear manner
- Proven experience in a senior finance role with a strong focus on strategic finance and client focused, anticipatory business partnering
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting principles, regulations, and practice
- Exceptional communicator and excel at working with cross-functional teams to reach alignment in ambiguous situations
- Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall organizational goals
- Strong leadership skills
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to prioritize, delegate and handle large volume of requests/inquiries
- Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power Bl (asset)
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset
