Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Transportation Operations Coordinator (TOC). Working closely with the live haul managers across over network, the TOC will support the team in optimizing live haul transportation operations while managing the performance and availability of our fleet. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely and safe movement of live animals, coordinating with drivers, dispatch, and maintenance teams, and supporting strategic planning for fleet utilization.

Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Transportation Operations Coordinator (TOC). Working closely with the live haul managers across over network, the TOC will support the team in optimizing live haul transportation operations while managing the performance and availability of our fleet. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely and safe movement of live animals, coordinating with drivers, dispatch, and maintenance teams, and supporting strategic planning for fleet utilization.
Responsibilities:
- - Plan, monitor, and adjust daily/weekly livehaul schedules to meet plant processing volumes and animal welfare standards.
- - Communicate with drivers and dispatch to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- - Track and report livehaul performance metrics including delays, incidents, and compliance issues.
- - Monitor fleet availability, utilization, and maintenance schedules.
- - Support planning for fleet replacements, upgrades, and reassignments.
- - Maintain accurate records of vehicle hours, mileage, and service history.
- - Coordinate with maintenance and repair teams to minimize downtime and ensure readiness.
- - Assist in developing and implementing transportation SOPs and contingency plans.
- - Support data collection and reporting for CER packages and operational reviews.
- - Liaise with internal departments including safety and planning.
- - 3 to 5 years of experience in transportation logistics, preferably in livehaul or agricultural sectors.
- - Strong understanding of transportation operations and vehicle lifecycle planning.
- - Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- - Proficiency in scheduling tools, fleet tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- - Having a Class 1 license is considered an asset.
