About The Role

Hunter Scouts is recruiting a Finance Data Lead to own finance data conversion for an SAP S/4HANA implementation for a confidential global professional services firm's client (client confidential). This 40-hour/week contract role is based in Vancouver (within a 50-mile radius required). You will lead the end-to-end migration strategy and execution for Finance data — defining mapping and transformation rules, managing data quality and mock loads, coordinating data conversion tool configuration (e.g., Syniti), and driving stakeholder communications through cutover and post-go-live stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Finance data migration to SAP S/4HANA: strategy, planning, execution and cutover
• Define and own data mapping, transformation and validation rules for Finance master and transactional data
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to design and validate S/4HANA Finance master data structures
• Manage data quality, cleansing, reconciliation activities; run mock loads and resolve defects
• Configure/oversee data conversion tools (e.g., Syniti) and coordinate ETL builds and migration waves
• Drive stakeholder communication: status reporting, risk and issue management, and decision facilitation
• Support go-live cutover and post-go-live data stabilization for Finance
  
  

Requirements

• Must be based within a 50-mile radius of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
• Must be authorized to work in Canada
• Minimum 5 years' experience leading or executing Finance data conversion/migration in SAP environments
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and working knowledge of Finance master data (GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, business partners, fixed assets)
• Experience using enterprise data conversion tools for SAP data migration (e.g., Syniti, SAP Data Services, LSMW) and defining mapping/transformation/validation rules
• Proven experience planning and executing data load cycles (mock loads, cutover, reconciliation) and leading cross-functional stakeholders through data migration workstreams
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Industry experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, or Power & Utilities
• Direct experience with Syniti (knowledge platform and migration toolset)
• Experience with both ECC-to-S/4HANA conversions and greenfield S/4HANA implementations
• Strong SQL/ETL or data profiling skills, and advanced Excel/data analysis experience
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
