Data Quality Associate

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Data Quality Associate to support a large data clean-up effort focused on manually reviewing and consolidating duplicate records across multiple systems. The role helps reduce a significant backlog of duplicate entries ahead of a departmental transition next fiscal year. Ideal for someone early in their career who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on repetitive data tasks. No technical background is required.

Responsibilities:

• Review and compare player records across multiple systems (e.g., casino rewards, online gaming, sports betting) to identify and consolidate duplicates.
• Verify and align data such as first name, last name, and email address to ensure each player has a single, accurate profile.
• Follow established duplicate resolution rules and document all actions taken in the MDM system.
• Manage and prioritize work from a large backlog (currently ~18,500 records), with 50–100 new tickets generated daily .
• Escalate unclear or complex cases as needed and collaborate with the team to maintain consistency.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while performing repetitive manual review tasks .
• Work independently to complete assigned ticket queues after initial training.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of professional work experience , ideally in administrative, data entry, or operations roles.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in any field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Excellent communication and listening skills , with the ability to ask clarifying questions when needed.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment .
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy.
