Role Overview

• Position: Biology Subject Matter Expert – Contractor, Remote
• 15-20 hours per week, potential to extend to 40 hours
• Contribute to a project involving state-of-the-art large language models. Create high-quality data to inform the future of AI innovation.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the accuracy and depth of AI-generated content in Biology.
• Review complex scientific content to ensure alignment with domain-specific principles.
• Provide detailed feedback to AI research teams to improve model outputs in Biology.
• Develop and implement evaluation rubrics for assessing AI-generated Biology tasks.
• Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency in training data.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines and enhance AI model performance.
  
  

Requirements / Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• Biology PhD from a top US, UK, Canadian, or European university
• High attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent proficiency in English
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AI model training and evaluation
  
  

Engagement Details

• Hourly contractor for Mercor
• 15-20 hours per week, potential to extend to 40 hours
• Fully remote and asynchronous
• Project duration: Minimum of 1-2 months
• Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
