One of our manufacturing clients in Niagara Falls, ON area is looking for a Project Manager for their facility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain critical path schedules with the internal team, setting clear milestone dates and completion timelines to meet contractual deadlines.
  • Interpret and define fabrication scopes, identifying and communicating gaps or missing information.
  • Translate general project requirements into actionable, prioritized plans for supervisory team members, providing guidance to overcome potential challenges.
  • Continuously evaluate and adjust project goals to align with forecasted outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage essential project documentation, including startup documentation, RFIs, change orders, and closeout reports.
  • Communicate project objectives to the Shop Supervisor and production staff while managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead and participate in stakeholder meetings, providing updates on project status, issues, risks, mitigation strategies, dependencies, financials, and required sponsor support.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders, partners, and vendors, documenting discussions and ensuring follow-up on assigned action items.
  • Monitor and address team behavior to maintain high morale, productivity, and compliance with company policies and customer expectations.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and ensure all business activities comply with the TMC Code of Business Conduct.
  • Enforce adherence to all health and safety regulations, fostering a safe work environment and maintaining accountability for team safety.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and its application on-site.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring work quality and production standards align with specifications and approved plans.
  • Review test plans for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with design requirements.
  • Escalate concerns and key updates to the General Manager (GM) as needed.
  • Provide detailed reports to the GM regarding project performance, including financial status, schedule progress, risks, and issues.


Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Management certification preferred .
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication or industrial construction project management.
  • Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining project schedules.
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
