A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Co-op/Intern at Trench, you will be part of the Strategic Procurement group and responsible for Supplier Management and Strategic Supply Chain Initiatives. You will have a chance to understand the indirect supply chain of a manufacturing location and gain exposure to a wide range of supplier topics, such as pricing, negotiations, contracts, and vendor management.

Your Tasks:

• Provide end to end support to the Strategic Manager in the Supplier Management Process, including contract negotiation, qualification, selection, evaluation, development, and classification.
• Assist in the maintenance, organization, and distribution of procurement records and information (procurement procedures, policies, price lists, contracts, supplier evaluations etc.).
• Analyze and create procurement data reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Request for quote, analyze for Total Cost of Ownership including cost calculations and comparisons.
• Manage the vendor setup process.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Student must be working towards an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration and must be in their 2nd year or higher or recent graduate.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS-PowerPoint and MS Excel is an asset.
• Excellent spoken and written, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good time-management and strong organizational skills.
• Self-driven, resourceful, and has a strong work ethic to achieve goals independently and work well in groups.
