Located in Regina and reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Benefits and Payroll Administrator is a vital part of a two- person department, whose lead role responsibility is for day-to-day employee benefits functions including the organization, planning, and consistently processing the timely and accurate payroll for all employees.


The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:

  • Must ensure complete confidentiality of all employee personal information.
  • Receive and process carrier connection reports – reconcile the information to ADP Work Force Now
  • Manage maternity leaves, short term disability claims and LTD
  • Manage RRSP deductions and DPSP contributions and remittance to Manulife
  • Provide backup support for the Payroll and Benefits Administrator whose lead role is managing payroll for all employees
  • Enter variable employee benefits information to ensure correct pay; review, process and if necessary, correct system generated reports prior to finalization of payroll
  • Help to maintain an atmosphere of continuous improvement in efficiencies and processes
  • Receive and respond to inquiries from employees, dependents, and staff, providing accurate and timely information
  • Manage benefit reporting for Company owned vehicles and Car allowances for T2200’s
  • Assist with review and confirmation of accuracy of year end T4’s
  • Prepare DPSP, Group Insurance and STD wage distribution journal entries
  • Other duties as assigned

Preference will be given to the individual that possesses:

  • A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation, be enrolled in the program or have equivalent payroll experience
  • Five plus years of related experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • ADP Workforce Now experience will be an asset
  • Analytically minded with solid organizational and communication skills and able to meet prescribed deadlines, sometimes under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy
  • Demonstrate clear and respectful communication skills in all situations
  • Experience in an equipment dealership would be an asset
