About the role: The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Reporting to the Manager ‑ Outpatient Clinics, the Patient Clerk provides services to the Outpatient Clinics, including Medical Oncology,Radiation Oncology, Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy Treatment, Reception and New Patient Office. The Patient Clerk processes physician orders, triages telephone messages and books procedures,clinic appointments, and tests,
Qualifications: * Secondary school graduation (Grade XII) * Specific health related program of two years and/or Medical Secretarial graduate with two years experience (oncology experience an asset) * Medical terminology course * Able to process orders, do lab order entry, and book diagnostic tests * Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, with a minimum keyboarding speed of 50 wpm * Experience working with Mosaiq EMR ,Meditech, and NCompass * Flexible, possessing good organizational skills and telephone deportment * Able to maintain accuracy and organizational skills in a demanding, fast paced, multifunctional, professional setting * Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with the ability to maintain a professional positive attitude in a customer service environment
Salary Range: $28.208 to 28.879
